Anxious about BPA

Environmental Health News (EHN) reports that early exposure to BPA increases the risk of anxious and forgetful behaviour in mice. Mice exposed to low levels of bisphenol A (BPA) during early development had impaired memory and altered levels of anxiety later in life, finds a study published in the journal Synapse. VUPbaby has reported on a number of research studies linking BPA to various health disorders (see previous blogs). This latest study reinforces the growing view that exposure to BPA could alter brain development and behaviourial traits in humans.
