In a article on the New Scientist website, Professors David Meltzer and Tamara Galloway, both of the University of Exeter, suggest that there is already plenty of evidence of the harmful effects of bisphenol-A (BPA) for regulators to act now. That said, given the fierce debate about the safety of BPA amongst scientists and industry, the scientists make a case for more research to be done, particularly human studies.
